A Tofu-rrific Summer Recipe
Satisfying & Delicious – Hearty Texture – Plant-Powered Protein
This summer step out of your comfort zone by sharing these deliciously flavorful and filling tofu sliders. With bold BBQ flavors and cool coleslaw to add balance and crunch, these crave-able handfuls of grilling goodness.
Recipe: Kansas BBQ Tofu Sliders
Serves 4 (2 sliders per person)
1 package of Nasoya Super Firm Tofu, cut into ¼” slices
1 package (8 each) of mini slider buns
1 package (14 oz.) of shredded cabbage for coleslaw
1 cup of coleslaw sauce
2 Tbsp. Sugar
½ Tbsp. seasoned rice vinegar
1–2 Tbsp. of your favorite BBQ sauce, per tofu slice
• In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for coleslaw sauce, mix well until combined and sugar is dissolved. Toss with shredded cabbage mix and set aside.
• Heat a large sauté pan on medium heat, coat lightly with pan spray, heat the Tofu slices, approximately 1–2 minutes on each side.
• Prepare your slider buns, by spreading one Tablespoon BBQ sauce on the bottom half of the buns. Distribute the heated Tofu slices on the sauced bottom buns. Spread one Tablespoon BBQ sauce on top of your tofu. Place a large spoonful of prepared coleslaw mix on top of the tofu and complete with bun top.
