About Suzanne Dixon, MPH, MS, RD
Suzanne Dixon, a dietitian and epidemiologist, is an author and internationally recognized expert in nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and health and wellness. Suzanne is best known as the creator of an award-winning nutrition website (sold in 2005), which was acclaimed by the New York Times and named one of Time magazine’s 50 Coolest Websites of 2005. She has received awards from the American Dietetic Association for Innovative Nutrition Education Programs for the Public and Distinguished Practice in Oncology Nutrition.Suzanne has helped thousands of individuals with a variety of medical concerns and conditions to make optimal nutrition a part of their health care and wellness plans. She has served as an appointed member to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) nutrition sub-committee and lectured at the University of Michigan (UM) Medical School, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health. Suzanne has developed and taught nutrition coursework for medical students and alternative medicine coursework for undergraduate and graduate nutrition programs.
Suzanne continues to share her enthusiasm for nutrition and health through her writing, lecturing, teaching, and as Colon Cancer Guide for About.com. She received her training in epidemiology and nutrition at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health at Ann Arbor.
