Ingredients

1 (14-ounce) package Nasoya Extra Firm Tofu, cut into 18 (1/2 x ½ x 4 ½-inch) sticks, well drained

3 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar

2 tablespoons corn meal

1 tablespoon corn starch

3 tablespoons butter, melted

Preparation

  1. In shallow plate, stir together brown sugar, corn meal, and corn starch; mix well
  2. Roll each stick of tofu into melted butter, then roll in brown sugar mixture until well coated
  3. Set aside on a cooling rack
  4. Meanwhile, heat a 10-inch skillet over medium heat
  5. Cook sticks, turning until all four sides are browned, about 1 minute per side
  6. Repeat with remaining sticks
  7. Serve with maple syrup
