Nasoya Dessert Starters Have a New Name: “Silken Style Creations”

Nasoya has renamed its non-dairy dessert recipe starter “Silken Style Creations”, and we wanted to be sure to let you know! (The item had been introduced earlier this year as simply “Silken Creations.”)  See the new look on our website at www.nasoya.com and expect to see the new package in stores in a few weeks.

In addition to the new name, the label also showcases the nutrition and ingredient information right on the front panel. The chief ingredient in Silken Style Creations is Nasoya Silken Tofu, which is made from pure water and whole soybeans.  Its recipe also calls for other ingredients such as natural flavors and cane juice sweetener.

Available in Dark Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry, Silken Style Creations is a smooth and creamy sweetened tofu that is perfect for creating healthier desserts and smoothies. Low in calories (only 110-120 per half cup serving) and fat (only 1-1.5 grams per serving), it is a good source of protein (3 grams per serving), has no cholesterol, and is lactose-free, gluten-free and kosher.

Made in America by Vitasoy USA, Nasoya Silken Style Creations is produced at Vitasoy USA’s tofu plant in Ayer, Massachusetts.

Why did you change the name?
We believe “Silken Style” helps better differentiate Nasoya Silken Style Creations from other products in our line and in the category.

Can you be more specific?
Our concerns regarded consumer confusion with regular Silken Tofu and were also branding related.

The package will look a little different on store shelves, but the product is the same deliciously smooth and creamy sweetened tofu dessert starter they tried as Silken Creations.
