Baked Tofu Nuggets

  • 1 pkg Nasoya® Firm Tofu - frozen and then thawed and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • ½ c wheat germ
  • ¼ t garlic powder
  • 1/8 t pepper salt to taste
Preparation Method: 

Drain tofu, wrap and place in freezer until solid. Thaw before using. Preheat oven to 375° degrees. Lightly oil baking sheet or spray with a non-stick cooking spray. Place tofu cubes between 2 layers of paper towels and gently squeeze out excess water. In a bowl, combine wheat germ and spices, mixing well. In a bowl of water, dip each piece of tofu, shake off excess water and dip into wheat germ mixture. Gently press wheat germ into tofu cube with the back of a spoon. Place nuggets on baking sheet and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until crisp. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
